Creating smoke-free spaces


Since 2022, smoking has been banned within a 50-metre radius of the following public establishments open to minors and children's play areas

  • Aurélia crèche, 8 ter, Corniche d'Or
  • André-Charles Blanc nursery school, 34 rue Léon Montier
  • elementary school, 14 rue Léon Montier
  • the leisure center at the villa "Les Chênes", 25 rue Léon Montier
  • the city stadium on rue Jean-Baptiste Pastor
  • the playground at Place Général Bertrand.

No smoking on beaches


Smoking is prohibited on all natural and artificial beaches of the Commune de Théoule sur Mer, with the exception of the Gardanne beach: from April 1st to October 30th each year.

The provisions of the present smoking ban apply to all practices directly or indirectly related to tobacco or its derivatives, whatever the utensils used for this purpose. In particular, the use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes and all types of hookahs is prohibited, although this list is not exhaustive.

Anyone wishing to smoke must leave the perimeter of the beaches, where ashtrays have been installed by the Commune.


Alcohol consumption on public roads


Afin de protéger la santé et la tranquillité publique, la consommation de boissons alcoolisées est interdite du 20 mars 2025 au 31 décembre 2025 dans les lieux suivants :

  • Public beaches and coastal path, from the nautical base to Pointe de l'Aiguille
  • place Général Bertrand and surrounding area over twenty-five metres
  • avenue and place Charles Dahon and surrounding area over twenty-five metres
  • on the communal port domain
  • in the vicinity of schools, children's playgrounds and the "Aurelia" multi-care facility
  • on all public parking lots in the municipality

This prohibition does not apply to the following locations:

  • terraces of cafés, pubs and restaurants
  • local events where the consumption of alcoholic beverages has been authorized

Fighting noise pollution

The fight against noise pollution is an important issue for quality of life and public health.
